What is Online Notepad?
An online notepad is a browser-based text editor that lets you write, edit, and store notes without requiring any account, login, installation, or cloud sync. It is the fastest way to capture a quick thought, draft a message, jot down meeting notes, or write a piece of text when you are on a computer without access to your preferred editor or note-taking app. The Online Notepad auto-saves your content to your browser's localStorage, so your notes persist between browser sessions — you can close the tab, reopen it later, and your text is still there. Since it is entirely browser-based, it works offline once the page has loaded. The editor is intentionally minimal: a clean typing surface with no formatting, no distractions, and no unnecessary features that get in the way of simply writing. It supports basic operations — undo, redo, copy, select all, and word count — and provides a Download button to save your notes as a plain text file.
